Yogoda Satsanga Society of India signed a MoU with Pinnacle Skills of Nagaland at Dakshineswar on April 19, 2015, for providing vocational training for unemployed youth in and around Kolkata.
As per the agreement, YSS will provide a place for training, electricity water, and 50% of the course fees (as scholar- ship to students). Balance 50% of the course fees will be paid by the students to Pinnacle Skills, who will be providing the teachers course materials, computers, and furniture. On successful completion of the training, Pinnacle Skills has assured job placement to the students with a minimum salary of around Rs 6,000 per month.
The vocational courses that are presently being offered are:
- Customer Relationship Management
- Hospitality Management
- Retail Sales Management
On the holy day of the Avirbhav of our beloved Jnanavatar Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, the vocational training programme was inaugurated at the new building of YSS on Deb Kamini Lane, across the road from YSS Math, Dakshineswar. An orientation camp followed the inauguration, where 57 students were selected for training. These students came from local areas, Kamarhati, Nadia district, and Kolkata. The training programme began on June 1, 2015.
YSS sincerely hopes that through this vocational training, many young people will be able to obtain employment and earn their livelihood.
