On June 6, 2016, the West Bengal Chapter of The Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate held its annual conference of the principals of the member schools in West Bengal. Nearly 150 delegates attended the conference. Mr. Gerry Arathoon, CEO and the Secretary of ICSE Board, was the Chief Guest.
Representing YSS on the occasion, Brahmachari Achyutananda spoke on the importance of balanced living and overall spiritual development of the students. While explaining Paramahansa Yoganandaji's "how-to-live" principles, he brought to light that a harmonious life style - not obsessed with scoring high marks - and regular practice of yoga would make young children healthier and better citizens.
